Oh! Hi there, my name is Yolanda Potgieter and I am an art director with some serious digital skills. I have a multimedia design degree from the North West University of Potchefstroom and I do video, UI, print and pretty much anything design. CLIENT: University of Johannesburg – 101 Seats of knowledge
BRIEF: Start a fundraiser to get money for the digital library project. This project aims to take the entire UJ library online and with that open the library to more students.
BIG IDEA: We collaborated with 101 different local artists and asked them to create a seat or chair that represents knowledge. These artworks were then auctioned of via a bidding portal that custom designed and built for the occasion. All of the proceeds went to the digitisation of the library and was a huge success.

BRIEF: Plan and design an app and visual identity that can take over all paper driven processes within South African schools.
BIG IDEA: Creating a friendly face with the 'elo' and making the platform as easy and friendly as possible for admin staff, teachers, students and parents.

Blood Brothers is an annual show where various South African artists collaborate and perform. This show is done in collaboration with the Vrede Foundation, who raises funds for cancer
research and patient care.
In 2017, the development team at WeFuse and I put together a site to showcase the event and drive people to buy tickets online. Even though the photography was supplied, the website design was done by the WeFuse team with myself as lead designer.

BRIEF: Create something exciting to help people engage with the JSE stand at the Money Expo in Sandton JHB.
BIG IDEA: We created an interactive app game, played on tablets at the JSE stand. The game included high and low risk factors and asked the player to navigate through the 'investment' field by tilting the tablet. The players with the highest scores each day won a variety of prizes.

BRIEF: Absa has an SMME solution that can help South African entrepreneurs grow their businesses. Create awareness of this solution in an easy and understandable way.
BIG IDEA: Get into a relationship with Absa's SMME solutions and have a partner that knows your business as well as you do. Using the various life events on Facebook we can showcase how Absa can help your business grow and why you should partner with them.

A Facebook microsite where users can select their party ‘pack’ to win tickets to the Enter the Woods event. The microsite generated a glitched gif with your profile picture and your party animal persona alongside your pack members.
The teaser videos as well as the launch video was done by the Mortimer Harvey team with myself as lead art director.
